If there’s one topic in the world of technology that I am so tired of hearing, it’s OS (Operating System) Wars. So many people always argue which OS is better and my response is, “Which one do you like better?” When they tell me, I say, “Use that one.” It’s so much better off to end a potential OS War with that response because I believe everyone should just use what OS they like best and what works for them.
Granted, we all know Windows Vista failed miserably and was not a fan of the public whatsoever. Although, believe it or not, I know people who use Vista and said it works perfectly fine. This just goes to show you that the operating system you choose to use is based on personal preference. It’s like telling someone who to date…you just don’t do it! A quick point though about Vista not doing well…that’s exactly why Windows 7 is being created and the beta version was released for the public to use! I have used Windows 7 a lot and I love it. I have no complaints yet and it blows Windows Vista out of the park. Once again though, that’s my outlook and also the official version hasn’t been released yet. I do look forward to when it is released.
So, if everyone just used the operating system they preferred and stopped trying to force which one is better down another person’s throat, maybe this topic could be a civil one. Just listen to someone’s opinion, have your own, and keep it at that. Although, I know that won’t happen. Why you ask? The reason is simple…Americans love to argue and push their opinion on to other people. It’s not a great trait at all, which is why when the topic of operating systems comes up in conversations, I notice a lot of people cringe at the thought of it.
Honestly, I still think the Mac OS is the best to use and for Windows at this point since Windows 7 is in beta, I say XP. That’s what I think, but use what makes you happy. Ask yourself this question, “what makes your internet experience an easier and enjoyable one?” After you answer that question, you and your OS will find each other.
