Recently for my birthday I got the new Mac Wireless Keyboard and it’s bar far the easiest keyboard to use. Now that may sound odd considering it’s just a keyboard, however it’s been crafted to a degree that makes it perfect for your fingers to type. I think the most clear cut difference from using the old keyboard is the elevation put into this keyboard. The elevation just makes it more comfortable when typing and it was the most apparent difference I noticed with the design.
Although, the reason I feel that those who own a Mac should upgrade to the new wireless keyboard is because it has a power save feature built in. Instead of having to turn the keyboard on and off to save battery, when you are away from your computer for a period of time, it will just power down on it’s own. To get it back on, you just start typing as usual. I personally have never seen a keyboard with this feature before and it really blew me away. Overall, it was that reason alone that told me I must own this new technology.
The link I’ve provided in this post is an affiliate link, but it’s through Amazon, so you can get it a little cheaper than the $70 price you would pay ordering it directly from Apple. I would say the downfall is the price of the product, but when you buy anything from Apple, most of their customers expect them to be a little pricey. For me, Apple’s prices have never swayed me away from their new technologies because I am paying for an experience.
Finally, I like the weight and the power button on the keyboard. You wanna talk light weight, this keyboard is just that. I believe everyone prefers light gadgets because for one they are usually smaller and two, they take up less room. I’m all about both of those aspects to keep myself organized and efficient. The power button on the keyboard is quite neat especially with how they seamlessly built into the device. It’s very clean cut and a simple nuance like that is what sells me on a product.
I do know that there are many people out there without Mac computers, but I do want to hear from those who do. Even if you don’t, what do you think of the new wireless keyboard? Is it something if you don’t have a Mac that makes you want to get one just for the keyboard? Eh, probably not, but you know where I’m going with this. The truth of the matter is what do you think about the features I talked about? Is it worth the upgrade?
