Is It Time To Try Out A New RSS Reader?
Would you like to be able to have one place to view all of the content you read online? Chances are you may already have a news aggregator like Google Reader. In my personal opinion, a brand new social news aggregator called BuzzBlaze gives a fresh way to consume content. Unlike other RSS readers which can be very cluttered and unpleasant to view visually, BuzzBlaze is visually impressive with an easy to navigate interface.
Why Choose BuzzBlaze?
As much as I like products from Google, I’ve always felt Google Reader was a poor attempt a news reader. Many people do use the service, but from the first time I heard about BuzzBlaze, I knew it would win. Since being invited as a beta tester, I have been extremely impressed with the usability of the service. Not only do I like being able to view all my feeds on my home dashboard, but the simplicity of adding new feeds is by far my favorite feature.
To add a new feed, all you need to do is enter the feed address into the search box and BuzzBlaze does the rest. The content feed will pull in the articles posted on the blog, but instead of like a normal news aggregator, it won’t just list the posts one after the other. Instead, you’ll see a “clickable” thumbnail image of the post and if you decide to click on it, a hover window will open to read the article. It’s such a clean and simple looking design, but it does the job in an efficient way. If you need to view more posts, click on the arrow in the window pane to see the next set of posts.

A News Reader That’s Social?
Finally, I think the deciding factor that separates this RSS news reader from other leading readers like Google Reader is the ability to incorporate “social” into it successfully. You’ll recognize the “follow” and “followers” panel in the top right hand corner of the page. It gives that “Twitter feel” to the application, but it gives you the ability to find new content that you may have not been aware of. See what your followers are reading and you might want to add that news feed to your dashboard.
If you would like to have an invite to BuzzBlaze, just click this link. If you do try out the service, please leave a comment below and let me know what you think of it. I think its a complete shift in the way we can consume content online. It makes the process easier and gives us the ability to read new information we may have not known about before.
