I had a mighty mouse that has since disappeared. It could very well have been missing for 6 months and I wouldn't know because I hardly used it. It ate batteries. It constantly needed to be cleaned. and that ball was a nightmare.

I just bought a new 27" iMac and it came with the magic mouse. There are things about this mouse I love. The surface gesturing is amazing, the power down feature saves batteries. All the reasons you mentioned make it worth upgrading.

I have 2 small beefs with it but I'll still use it and thing it's a great product.
Here are my problems:
1) No side buttons for expose. Love that about the mighty mouse
2) The mighty mouse was more ergonomic with the rounded top. If you're using the magic mouse for 10 hours a day (like I am) the ring finger on your right hand almost rubs raw from the edge and the clicking action rubbing the entire time.

Apple is so close to the perfect mouse!
