Reddit is an absolute waste of time. While there are those who will disagree, I’m going to take the opposite approach and give you seven reasons why you shouldn’t be focusing your social media efforts on Reddit. Do you really think it will be a substantial traffic builder for you long term?

Are you using the new Digg since it was redesigned by the team at Betaworks? Whether you like it or dislike it, how would you feel about them removing the thumbs up button altogether? Statistics show that it’s not serving a purpose and for the first time…and I’m glad, top stories are determined by social sharing.

Are you using Google+? Truth is, I know they have a lot of users, but I don’t know who’s actually actively using the service. I needed answers and I was able to get in touch with a spokesperson from Google. They agreed to share their outlook and plans with the social network. Hopefully, this answers the questions many people may have.
